AI Prompts for Marketing

The most important topic for 2025 and beyond is AI. We have already listed the AI tools that we use. Check that out here. With the tools that we have right now, one of the key learnings that every marketer should focus on getting trained for better use of those tools is Prompt Engineering. So, what is prompt engineering?

What is prompt Engineering?

Why are AI prompts important? 

Generative AI like all Learning Language Models need clear, detailed instructions to perform tasks. It is created to mimic human behavior. For example, let’s say you are creating artwork for an online ad. The first draft does not get approved immediately. You have multiple conversations with the designer giving your ideas and inputs to narrow down exactly what you want the ad to look like. You review what the designer creates and multiple iterations later, the ad gets approved if everything is perfect and to your liking. This is exactly what generative AI also behaves like. 

In order for us to get the desired output with AI, we need to tailor our inputs and step-by-step, we can achieve the desired outcome. To facilitate this process, we use AI prompts.

What are AI prompts? 

An AI prompt is a natural language text that requests the generative AI to perform a specific task. 

According to Hubspot, to write a copy you need a minimum of 3 AI prompts to get the desired results.

So, let’s get into the different types of AI prompts you can use to make your work easier and also at the same time get meaningful outputs for the task at hand. We are categorizing it based on the day-to-day tasks of a marketer. 

Website: 

  • List the type of content to include in [Webpage Title]
  • Shorten the content into a 100-word paragraph for website (this prompt needs your input).
  • Add the keyword [provide keyword] to the below paragraph for SEO. 

Artwork/Creative Design: 

  • An image for [type of content] of an empty soccer stadium.
  • Image of a woman smiling, looking forward, in a restaurant.

Content Marketing: 

Blogs: 

  • Write a 500-word blog article about [topic]
  • Review the below blog for grammatical errors and reduce it to less than 300-words. 
  • Check the below blog article to verify it contains the keyword [keyword name] adequate number of times for SEO. 

Press Release: 

  • Write a press release on [insert topic] that sounds exciting. Use a casual tone to make it appealing to [target audience – for ex: Millennials and Gen-Z].  

Emails: 

Basic email: 

  • Write an email to a vendor requesting information about [insert reason]

For example: Write an email to an event vendor requesting information about [the size of the venue, number of people etc.] and include any questions I may have missed. Result below:

  • Write [number of] email subject lines for a promotional email about the
    which is short and exciting. 

Product

  • Create a few ideas for a new product launch for [time of the year/season] targeted towards [target audience] and also suggest me marketing channels to use. (provide product details below)

Events: 

  • Provide me with a list of to-do’s for an event that caters to [target audience]
  • Suggest some unique swag to add to my booth in a tradeshow. 
  • Give me ideas to enhance my show floor booth to attract more attendees in [event name].

For example: Give me ideas to enhance my show floor booth to attract more attendees at SXSW. Result below:

Social Media: 

  • Suggest a [number] part concept video series for [platform names] focusing on [theme].
  • Create a LinkedIn post caption on the [topic] and keep it to less than 3 sentences. Make it intriguing for the audience. 

The opportunities are endless now with generative AI. AI prompts are constantly evolving and improving. The more detailed information you provide, the more accurate and reliable, meaningful results you get. Try out different tools and AI prompts.
